How long will your false lashes last?

I recommend that you use them once and then throw them away.  If you want to re-use them you will need to take them off at night and insert them back on the tray which will help keep their shape. You would peel off any remaining adhesive prior to reapplying them.  For best results I would not wear a pair more that two or three times each. If you are careful and clean them well between each use, you can probably get more wear out of a pair.

Mascara or no mascara?

Once the glue has dried, apply a coat of mascara to blend your natural lashes with the false ones.

Care and cleaning?

If you remove the adhesive after each use and keep them on the tray when not in use, they will last longer.  They can be cleaned to remove any makeup or mascara with any non-oily makeup remover, just be careful and don’t rub hard.

Adhesive troubles?

Which one? Which color? Let me just put all your worries behind you. I offer on my website the only lash adhesive I use. I have used Duo surgical adhesive for years and find that the non-irritating false eyelash adhesive is agreeable with every model that has sat in my chair.  This is a creamy white adhesive that dries clear and removes easily with cleansing cream. This product contains latex or other natural rubber proteins.  There are other adhesive on the market- but they will require an adhesive remover- so keep that in mind when you are shopping around.

Application tips:

Just follow these quick and easy steps and you’ll wonder why you’ve ever bothered with coats and coats of mascara!

First timers; never try to apply them when you’re getting ready to go out…take 5 minutes on a day that you find you have some spare time. We all know we’re impatient and will give up when frustrated!

  false eyelashes

If you really want to draw attention to your eyes or your natural lashes are thinning with age, you can always wear false eyelashes. They can be fun to play with for a special occasion or a special night out. I like using false eyelashes to define the eyes at the lash line, instead of depending on heavy eyeliner and overly intense eyeshadow when you want more drama.

False eyelashes come in strips, individual flares, and single strands. Strip lashes are the most commonly used, and are readily available. I know that applying false eyelashes can seem intimidating, so here is an easy, foolproof way to apply strip false eyelashes. No matter what your makeup IQ is, this application technique will work for you and look natural. Just follow these easy steps to false eyelash perfection:

1.      Curl your natural eyelashes. If your natural lashes grow straight out and down and you did not curl them, the false lash will lie straight out and down. Definitely not our goal, so curl first. Curl your natural eyelashes with a crimp curler.

2.      Lay a mirror on the table or counter in front of you and look down. This puts your lid in the perfect position to see everything you are about to do, and is so much more comfortable than holding your chin up looking into a wall mirror while everything dries out.

3.      Draw a thin line across your upper eyelid right along your lash line with a black eyeliner pencil. This helps you know where to place the lash and helps conceal the lash band. This way, even if you do not get the false lash in place directly against your natural lashes, no one will know, because the liner will assure that no skin shows between your natural lashes and the false ones.

4.      Trim the outside end of your false eyelashes to fit the width of your eyelid. Usually, strip lashes, when used straight from their container, are too wide for most eyes. Trimming them will help them fit better and feel more comfortable.

5.      Apply eyelash duo surgical adhesive glue to the false eyelashes all along the band. Allow the glue to dry for a minute so that it will get tacky (slightly sticky), then place the lash right on top of your eyeliner. Using the handle end of a pair of tweezers, push the lash right up against your natural lash line.

6.      Once the glue has dried, apply a coat of mascara to blend your natural lashes with the false ones.

Want to wear false eyelashes, but want the look to be more natural than a strip? dura lash single strands look much more natural, but still demand everyone’s attention. False eyelashes in individual single strands are a breeze to apply:

1.      Curl your natural eyelashes. If your natural lashes grow straight out and down and you did not curl them, the false lash would lie straight out and down. Curl your natural eyelashes with a crimp curler.

2.      Lay a mirror on the table or counter in front of you and look down. This puts your lid in the perfect position to see everything you are about to do, and is so much more comfortable than holding your chin up and looking into a wall mirror while everything dries.

3.      Apply a layer of mascara: It will give your natural lashes more bulk and make it easier to attach the false.

4.      Take your lash adhesive and squeeze a dot of it onto the packaging from your lashes. This way, you can just dip your lash into the glue. Using a pair of tweezers, grab a single strand. Now dip the root end into the duo surgical adhesive glue.

5.      With adhesive on the end of the lash, lay it right on top of one of your own lashes, with the root of the false lash as close as possible to your natural eye lash root. Continue all across your lash line, one strand at a time.

6.      After the adhesive has dried, apply a coat of mascara to blend everything together.
